Mukhtar Ansari’s “shooter” son Abbas Ansari is good at playing with guns and it has only brought him laurels as he bagged Gold Medal at a National Level event.
After accomplishing in shooting, Abbas has now taken a political plunge. In the absence of his father, who is behinds the bars in alleged murder case, twenty-five-year-old Abbas is contesting on BSP ticket after his father’s party merged with it. He is contesting from Ghosi seat in Mau district that is going to polls in the sixth phase of elections in on March 4.
Though the area is a fort of his father Mukhtar, the gold medalist shooter is facing a tough triangular contest. He is up against BJP’s Fagu Chauhan and the SP’s Sudhakar.
With poll just a few hours away, all eyes are on his constituency whether he would sail through or founder.
Being projected as a youth leader, he is not happy with the way his father was treated by Akhilesh Yadav.
Mukhtar is also fighting elections from the jail. In his absence his family members are campaigning for him, convincing the people that he has been victimized.
After being rejected by the SP headed by Akhilesh, Mukhtar merged his Quami Ekta Dal.
