The CCTV cameras projects sanctioned under MPLAD Fund’s of BJP National Secretary and BJP MP from East Delhi Parliamentary Constituency Maheish Girri was inaugurated by Union Minister of State for Home Hansraj Ahir.
The MP allocated Rs 1.57 crore from his Local Area Development Fund for this project.
Addressing the gathering, Hansraj Gangaram Ahir said it is commendable that MP Maheish Girri has allotted the amount from his MP fund to CCTV cameras. He said Maheish Girri is an efficient, hardworking and honest MP, who is committed to the public welfare.
He further added that we should all be concerned about the safety of women, children and the elderly and the people should cooperate fully with the people’s representatives and police. He said Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been working continuously for the progress of the country. “Our goal is to strengthen the country’s law and order system and to protect the boundaries of our great country. We are fully committed to it.”
Girri thanked all those who attended the programme. In his speech Girri said: “When I became a Member of Parliament, one of my resolutions was also how to restrain the crime to improve law and order situation. Because we should be sensitive to the safety of women, children and the elderly and keeping this in mind, it is a historical step in terms of security. Keeping this in mind, I had meeting with the Police Department, Rs 1.57 crores from my own MPLAD fund. I allocated for installation of the CCTV cameras on Delhi-UP border in my constituency. Under the Vivek Vihar and Mayur Vihar Police Stations, the network of the cameras has been made within a total radius of 10 kilometres on Chaudhary Charan Singh Marg and Delhi Noida Link Road respectively. Now, with the installation of CCTV cameras, crimes can be restrained to a great extent. Through network of these cameras law and order situation will be monitored by the Delhi Police. For this control room has been opened in Vivek Vihar and Mayur Vihar Police Stations.”

Delhi Police Commissioner Amulya Patnaik said CCTV has been installed on Delhi-UP Border, which will definitely facilitate work of the Police Department. He said this effort of the MP is very commendable. The Commissioner of Police thanked the MP for this support.
