Monis: Inspirational journey of budding star

Monis Ahmed Khan is an actor, poet, writer, performer, anchor, stand-up comedian and an architect by profession.

With his rugged looks and signature beard, his impression sticks at the very first time you see him and moreover if you get a chance to hear him address a crowd, his voice and the command of the languages especially Urdu will strike even harder.

Monis originally belongs to Bareily city of Uttar Pradesh from where he did his schooling. While Bareily city has given this nation some outstanding talents from Priyanka Chopra to the recent sensation Disha Patani (who’s also the childhood friend and school-mate of Monis); this young man doesn’t seem to let his city down.

Being a remarkable science student, Monis has done his Bachelor’s in Architecture from Lucknow. He is currently pursuing Master’s degree in Architecture from Jamia Millia Islamia.

Along with the academics, Monis has always been interested in extra curriculum like drama, creative writing, etc. Since his school days, he has been the most popular guy wherever he goes. Well, there’s no reason why wouldn’t he be.

He has always managed to follow his passions while not compromising his serious studies at all. He is a student of drama club of Jamia, JOSH.

Monis has been winning titles, awards, prizes, trophies for years now. Apart from being the best in his own college, he has participated and won numerous Mr. Titles and other competitions in almost every prestigious college in the country, including the top 3 IITs, IIMs, NITs, Amity Universities, etc.

Monis also does live shows and runs his own channel on YouTube to showcase his skills.

Also, Monis gets number of anchoring contracts from colleges like Symbiosis, Delhi University, etc. as well as a few high profile events, with celebrity guests.

Recently, Monis was invited at the Shri Ram College of Commerce’s annual fest ‘Crossroads’ 2017. And as expected, he did for what he’s known for. He anchored and performed in front of stars like Armaan Malik, DJ Chetas, etc. and also managed to win the Mono-acting Contest there. He also won the PayTM Ticket to One Year of Free Movies. Now that’s some list of achievements at a young age of 22!!!

Monis plans to open a one of a kind Cafè in future with beautiful design and creative interiors. It’ll be a place that will reflect his architecture profession as well as various passions pursued by him.

He also loves to travel the world.

“The strength behind me is my mother. Her blessings have helped me achieve my goal,” said Monis.
