Afghan health minister meets Jain, asks about Mohalla Clinics

Public Health Minister of Afghanisation, Dr Ferozuddin Feroz, met the Delhi Health Minister Satyendar Jain and discussed the public health initiatives being undertaken by the Delhi government.

The visiting minister showed a keen interest on the Mohalla Clinics initiative and sought information about the concept and its functional details.

“The visiting minister showed a keen interest in the Mohalla Clinics initiative, and sought information about the project and its functional details,” according to a statement released by the Delhi government.

The Arvind Kejriwal government till now has set up nearly 110 Mohalla Clinics and it plans to set up 1,000 such facilities by this year end. The Mohalla Clinics have attracted international attention with former Secretary-General of United Nations, Kofi Annan, commending the project in January.
