MCD Polls: Okhla warriors seek L-G’s help for better civic facilities in Jamia Nagar

The delegation of Hum Hindustani NGO on Wednesday met with OSD of Lt Governor of Delhi Ajay Choudhri.

Led by M Nizam, the delegation handed over the memorandum to Chuadhry regarding the development of the Abul Fazal and Shaheen Bagh and apprised him of the poor civic facilities of the area.

They demanded that keeping in view of the recent deaths because of the poor civic facility and piled up garbage on roadsides and open sewer, the Administration must take the deteriorating situation into account and act to solve the vexed problem.

Hum Hindustani delegation also requested to Ajay Choudhri that the area may be provided with medical ambulance and rehab center and the open nallah from Jamia Thana to Shaheen Bagh police post may be covered. The delegation also demanded for the park, community center for senior citizen and removal the illegal encroachment from the area.

The delegation also met with South East DCP Robin Bania and handed him over the memorandum for the same.

Under the chairmanship of Nizam the delegation were comprised of Dr Mohd Ali Jauhar, Tanveer Jahan Urf Guria, Dr Daraksha Firdos, Mohd Irfan Shakir, Chandni Parveen, Sadaf Khan, Reefa Ali, Afzaal Bari, Sufia Nizam, Mohd Sabir Ali, Arif Shakeel, journalist Syad Ruman Hashmi, Nayeem Ahmad Quraishi, Arshad Ayubi and Waseem Akram.
