Meeting called by Mahmood’s fans to lay strategies to breach Danish fort in ward 201

Meeting called by AAP’s Mahmood’s fans tonight to lay strategies to breach Danish fort in ward 201.

After being declared the AAP’s candidate for the upcoming April 22 MCD elections from Okhla’s ward number 201, Mahmood Ahmad has got into election mode.

His supporters are holding meetings and door-to-door campaign in the locality to win hearts and minds of the voters.

It is to be noted that the ward is ruled by Congress councillor Shoeb Danish for the last ten years. Though Congress is still to declare its candidates, chances are high that Shoeb will get the ticket.

And if this happens so then he will be laying claim to the ward for the third time. In such a situation, local political observers have predicted a good fight between Mahmood Ahmad, who after leaving a job of a reporter took political plunged by joining the AAP a few years ago.

To drum up support, Mahmood’s fans have also gone hyper active on the social media, including WhatsApp. A message surfaced on the local group by Qamar Kranti.

“This message is to remind and to inform you that there will be a meeting today at the residence of Islam Bhai at 11 pm. The meeting will begin promptly at 11 pm and is expected to last approximately 12:30 am.

“The main purpose of the meeting is to discuss successful campaign for Mahmood bhai. Please bring any relevant data you have.

“I suggest also that you take the time to make a list of any questions or comments you wish to make during the meeting. Such a list will ensure a more efficient and effective discussion…,” he wrote.

On the other hand, Danish too is active on the social media and is sharing all works taken by him in the locality. Recently he has planned to have a gate in Zakir Nagar and Batla House one after the name of freedom fighter and Jamia Millia Islamia’s founder Maulana Jauhar and one after martyr Captain Javed Saifi.
