Tanweer seeks justice (video)

The demolition of alleged illegal colony of Shram Vihar, Abul Fazal Enclave part III has come as a shock for many residents.

If the colony had got NOC then how come it is being termed illegal, claimed agitating residents.

Also, residents are upset that the demolition of the populated colony took place after the statement of the City government promising no such demolition.

After their houses were demolished many residents were seen looking for a decent place where they could spend the night. Some were seen making temporary arrangements on the demolished spot itself and many preferred moving to their relatives’ houses temporarily.

Tanweer, who has been living in the colony, for long said the government let them down by not convincing the officials to stop the demolition.

Okhla MLA Asif Md Khan and RWA members of Shram Vihar concurred with Tanweer. RWA president Yusuf Jamal said the demolition was illegal. “We had all the documents and people have been living in the colony for long,” he said.
