Several civil society organisations have called a protest at Uttar Pradesh Bhawan, Chanakyapuri, New Delhi, today (Jan 02) at 11.30 am to protest against the callous attitude and inhuman act of UP govt in dismantling relief camps in Muzaffarnagar.
Md Irshad Ahmad, president (AMUOBA Delhi & NCR Chapter) and resident of Jamia Nagar, wrote: “Recently AMUOBA Delhi & NCR chapter team visited the relief camps of Muzaffarnagar riot victims and displaced people and the situation is grim and depressing.
“Children Dying, Rapists Run Free, Relief Camps Demolished...Shame on criminal apathy towards Muzaffarnagar riots survivors. And inaction against perpetrators!
“Demand Relief, Rehabilitation and Justice!”
Md Irshad said: “We feel that this matter has gone now beyond the UP Govt control and we want immediate intervention of the Union Govt in Delhi. AMUOBA Delhi & NCR has collaborated with other like-minded organizations in Delhi like JNUSU, AISA, CPIML, RYA, & other concerned citizen group to Observe National Protest Day.”
