Nadeem Ahmed lives in Shaheen Bagh. He commutes to Noida regularly for office work. But his journey is always tiresome because of the traffic gridlock on the road connecting Kalindi Kunj to Noida.  There are other residents also who face the same problem while travelling to Noida. But it appears that driving and travelling will become smoother for commuters after the government sanctioned three underpasses on the 20km-long Master Plan Road-III.

The project is expected to be completed within the next 18 months as work will only start from December. To ease out traffic jam works continue on Noida sector 37. But till now it has not improved traffic flow because of the incomplete work.

Also, there is permanent traffic jam just on the mouth of Noida Bridge towards Kalindi Kunj with vehicles spending hours to get clearance.

The biggest problem is that the road is in bad shape. A few months ago patch work was done only to get worse.

But now the report of three underpasses has brought cheers to commuters.

Plans are to make journey to Noida hassle free. A senior official says: “Vehicles from Delhi travelling along this route can zoom non-stop towards Noida Extension once these projects, along with the flyover-underpass twin project in sector 37, become operational.”
