It was a story worth reading (Meet Jamia vice-chancellor Najeeb Jung, the student). The headline did just what a headline should do – it made me head towards the story. It is heartening to know that the Jamia Millia Islamia Vice Chancellor is working on his Urdu and keenly studying Ghalib’s poetry. It is good that Mr Jung has no reservations about being a student of the university he heads. He has shown the students of the university that it is never too late to learn. His step is a sign of both humility and maturity.
It is indeed a pleasure to immerse oneself in the timeless verses of Ghalib. Being a lover of his poetry, Mr Jung has made good use of his opportunity to follow it under the guidance of able Urdu teachers at the university. Mr Jung’s step will enrich the tradition of learning at the esteemed university.
Okhla Times is doing an excellent job of covering various facets of life in Okhla. As a rich and entertaining source of information about Okhla, the website is serving Okhlaites well. I appreciate and laud the pioneering effort of Mr Asad in making Okhla Times fulfill its responsibility towards Okhla and its residents. I think Okhla Times is a unique initiative not just in Okhla and Delhi, but the whole of India as it provides comprehensive news coverage of an area within a huge metro.
Those who follow Okhla Times will be in a better position to take steps that improve their lives and the life of Okhla and its entire community as they will be aware, through the portal, of the objective realities of Okhla.

If there was a way to make a small monetary contribution to support this news portal, then I would have.
