“We have increased the old age pension for our elders, we are soon coming up with door step delivery scheme which will make queues and paying touts at government offices for different certificates a history, you will get all your job done at a phone call and at your convenience. We are also planning door step delivery of ration to do away with the problems at Public Distribution Shops. We are saving money in every project, as I say there is no dearth of money in government, there was a dearth of will power & honesty and we have the will power & honesty to work for the people and their welfare,” added the CM.
“The DCW chief has demanded capital punishment within 6-months for rapists. We also demand strictest of action against rape accused. The centre should amend the law and make such a strict law that no one ever dares to commit such heinous acts,” said Kejriwal.
This is in line with the constant endeavours to develop planned water supply looking at the growing demands of Delhi for water, he said. The ceremony was also attended by Vice Chairman, DJB Dinesh Mohania and other senior officials of the Delhi Jal Board.
“We have constructed several such reservoirs in Delhi and this will change the water scenario of the area. The government is under oath to make sure that each household of Delhi gets water. Earlier we used to see that such promises were made and inaugurations/foundations were done around the elections and no actual work was done. We have changed that, I am here in the middle of you and the elections are two years to happen; this UGR will be completed by the end of next year. I will monitor the construction of this UGR and see to it that it is completed in time,” said the Chief Minister at the function.
The Chief Minister further added: “I challenge that no government in the country since Independence has worked the way our government has been working for the people tirelessly in the last three years. We are providing cheapest of power in Delhi in the country, we have not let power tariffs be hiked in the last three years, 20 thousand litre of water is free for every household in Delhi, laid pipeline in 319 colonies, we are sure that we will make pipeline & drinking water available in every household of Delhi in next two years”

Commissioning of the project to benefit 6 lakh residents of Karawal Nagar and Mustafabad.
