Justice for Okhla’s daughter: Candle march

Activists in Jamia Nagar took out a candle march from Khalilullah Mosque ending at Jamia Nagar police station, reports Jawaud Hassan.

A group of activists, including Left-leaning Ameeque Jamei, were present and narrated the story of a Jamia Nagar minor who was allegedly raped by his schoolmate and allegedly raped by his friends.

The incident that was also reported in national dailies has left Jamia Nagar residents aghast. Many have expressed fears about their safety in the locality that has seen spike in criminal cases, claimed residents.

It is understood that activists are serking justice for the poor girl whose family is from poor background, claimed activists.
