The Jamia School organised a special morning assembly on November 24. As per the tradition of Jamia Millia Islamia the event kicked off with the recitation of the holy verses of the Qur'an. After that recitation was over the guest, Pro-Vice Chancellor, Professor S.M. Rashid was welcomed.

Jamia Sr. Sec. School (Self-Financed) principal A Naseem Khan says: "It was a matter of great pride for the school as the Pro Vice Chancellor happens to be a Jamia school alumnus."

In his address, Rashid urged the students to show their mettle to be the luminous stars and hold the torch of knowledge aloft. Also, he stressed the need to uphold the glowing values of Jamia Millia Islamia. His was a scintillating and brilliant motivation speech.

School teachers who had turned up on full strength were seen delighted with the turn of events. Khan, the young and highly-talented school principal, looked visibly delighted. The assembly came to an end with the ethical, lyrical and inspiring National Anthem.

The self-financed school established some two decades ago has produced many talented students. Some of its alumni are well placed in overseas and India.
