The new world order, an overview at JamiaOT, March 9, 2012 16:14 IST Okhla Times Campus Reporter/JMI The department of Political Science, Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) is going to organize an extension lecture on “The New Architecture of World Politics and Who Controls it” by Prof. Jeffrey Legro, University of Virginia, USA. The lecture is scheduled to be held on March 12, 2012 at 10 AM in the new Seminar Room of department of Political Science. On the same day a seminar on “Recent Advances in Chemistry” is also going to be held in the lecture Theatre of Department of Chemistry. The 5th one-day seminar will be organized under the UGC Special Assistance Programme (SAP). The basic aim of the seminar is to discuss recent advances in chemistry and to come forward with new ideas and issues so that they can give new directions of research in the area, according to university media coordinator. A day after that on March 13 and 14 another semniar is going to be held. The department of Computer Science under the aegis of department of Biotechnology, government of India is going to organize a two-day workshop on “Bioinformatics Infrastructure & Frontiers BIF’12” on the broad theme of “Research and Development”. Resources persons from NII, JNU, AIIMS, IIGEB and JMI are expected to deliver lectures followed by demonstration and hands on practice sessions, where participants will have an opportunity to interact and learn.
