The annual techno-social sojourn and Haibib Rehman memorial lectureOT, October 19, 2012 08:25 IST Okhla Times Campus Reporter/JMI The Student’s Chapter of the Indian Society of Technical Education (ISTE), New Delhi at the Faculty of Engineering, Jamia Millia Islamia is going to organize its Annual Techno-Social Sojourn TRIPSTER-2012 (Tripping the Barriers, Switching the Society) along with the Annual Students Convention of Delhi Section of the Indian Society of Technical Education on October 20 from 9.30 AM in the Auditorium, Faculty of Engineering & Technology, JMI. Indian Society for Technical Education is the largest national, professional, non-profit society in India. Established in 1968, it has consistently contributed to advance the cause of technological education in the country, according to university release.
The Society contributes, in every possible way, in the development of top quality professional engineers needed by the industries and other organizations. The Subject Association, Faculty of Architecture and Ekistics is organizing the Habib Rehman Memorial Lecture Series on the 18th and 19th of October, 2012 at the Engineering Auditorium in the University campus.
This event is an avenue via which the students of architecture seek to celebrate the life and works of Ar. Habib Rehman and commemorate his contributions to the city and its people. The noted photographer Ram Rehman, also Ar.Habib Rehman's son, will address the congregation. A lecture by the eminent architect Ar. Raj Rewal, along with a photo essay on the 'Life and Works of Habib Rehman' will rekindle his philosophies and reaffirm the passion for Architecture amongst the next generation.
