Jamia Senior secondary school self finance is planning to organize a special assembly on the morning of November 23. In this event, Pro vice-chancellor Syed Md Rashid is the guest speaker, claims school authority. The assembly is of great importance for teachers and some 1000 students as Rashid will deliver a motivational speech.

After the 30-minute event is over, the Pro V-C will interact with teachers, visit classrooms and labs to see for him the development that has taken place in the last few months. Newly-appointed school principal A. Naseeb Khan tells OKHLA TIMES: “During the assembly teachers and students performance will be highlighted.” Also, he has other plans to motivate teachers and students.

Of late the self-finance school established more than two decades ago is doing well with teachers working overtime to improve students’ performance. Right now four remedial classes are being held after the class is over. Some teachers stay late evening in the school to guide low achievement students without taking remuneration for their service. Other efforts are also on to improve education standard.

An English capacity building programme for hostelers is also on the anvil.
