National Service Scheme camp and Physics colloquium

The National Service Scheme (NSS), Youth Friendly Health Centre (YFHC) and Integrated Counseling & Testing Centre (ICTC), Jamia Millia Islamia are jointly going to organize a 3-day Orientation Camp from August 9-11, 2012 from 9 AM to 4 PM on the campus of Jamia Millia Islamia, claimed university release.
In the three-day camp, following activities will take place:
1) The New Entrants to Jamia will be welcomed by Prof. N.U. Khan, Programme Coordinator and they will be introduced to activities of the NSS, YFHC & ICTC; 2) Lectures on “Leadership”, “Communication Skill” & “Personality Development”; 3) A Tree Plantation drive; 4) Film Show and Lecture on HIV/AIDS; 5) Cultural Progammes; 6) Painting & Slogan Competition on “My Earth, My Duty” and 7) Experience Sharing.
The programmes are scheduled to be held at the Nehru Guest House, Near Dr. M.A. Ansari Auditorium, Jamia Millia Islamia.

Also, the Centre for Theoretical Physics is going to organize a “Physics Colloquium” on “Discovery of Higgs Boson: Existence of Mass in Universe Explained”. The speaker is Prof Rathin Adhikari from the Centre for Theoretical Physics, Jamia Millia Islamia, according to university release.
The programme is scheduled to be held on August 8, 2012 at 3 PM in the Seminar Hall of Centre for Theoretical Physics, Jamia Millia Islamia.
