Iram, daughter of a truck driver, makes Jamia proudOT, February 24, 2012 11:20 IST Okhla Times Campus Reporter/JMI Iram Hasan, a student of LL.M (Previous), Faculty of Law, Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) has secured the 19th position in Haryana Judicial Service Exam 2011. Iram has been selected in her first attempt and she is the youngest to be selected in the Haryana Judicial Service Exam. Recently, she also bagged the runners-up trophy in the All India Legal Quest Competition 2012 organized by Amity University from 9-11 February 2012. Duaghter of a truck driver, Iram is the only child of her parents. The university authorities are happy over the development. Media coordinator said: "Jamia Millia Islamia congratulates Ms. Iram Hasan on her stupendous achievement and wishes her the very best in all her future endeavours. It is a matter of great pride." Jamia students have been doing well. Over the years they have achieved milestones, with a few even clearing the reputed Civil Service Exams. Recently some research scholars from JMI grabbed headlines as they traveled to Coimbatore to attend international conference on advanced material. The physicists impressed some foreign experts who had also turned up at the five-day seminar. A research scholar Md Shahzad Khan gave oral presentation, including 15 minute slide presentation, on hydrogen storage on functionalized carbon nano tube.
