ERP Mission workshop for universities, institutionsOT, September 8, 2011 IST Okhla Times Campus Reporter/JMI The FTK Centre for Information Technology, Jamia Millia Islamia is going to organize a two-day workshop on “ERP Mission” on September 17 & 18, 2011. The workshop on “ERP Mission” is aimed at providing a common platform to the developers, University Administrators, Faculty members and ICT Professionals for sharing their ideas on development and implementation of ERP Modules in Universities and educational institutions. The workshop will also be useful for students interested in Software development work as it would provide them with an opportunity to interact with experienced developers. The ERP Mission project has been sanctioned by the National Mission on Education through ICT (NMEICT), MHRD with the objective of developing an Open Source ERP System for Universities and other educational institutions. The collaborative project is led by IIT Kanpur with the other teams being Aligarh Muslim University, Dayalbagh Educational Institute, IGNOU, IIT Roorkee, Jamia Millia Islamia, NIT Hamirpur and SMVDU Jammu. Under the leader of IIT Kanpur, each partner institution is actively engaged in developing of modules using Open Source Tools. Institutions who wish to implement ERP systems and/or E-Learning System would find the workshop especially interesting, claims the media coordinator. The participants are required to get themselves registered for the workshop by submitting Registration Form latest by September 09, 2011 along with a prescribed Registration Fee in the form of a Demand Draft in favour of “The Registrar, Jamia Millia Islamia”, payable at New Delhi.
