Conference on cloud computingOT, February 4, 2012 08:32 IST Okhla Times Campus Reporter/JMI The FTK-Centre for Information Technology (FTK-CIT), Jamia Millia Islamia is going to organize a National Conference on “Emerging Trends in Open Source Applications and Cloud Computing (OSACC – 2012)”. This conference is in continuation of the overwhelming success of conferences held on “Sustainable Development & Management of Information Technology in Universities and Colleges” organized by FTK-Centre for Information Technology, in 2009, 2010 which encouraged the University to provide the same platform to all ICT Professionals working in Indian Universities and Colleges, according to university release. OSACC-2012 will provide an opportunity to researchers, academicians, corporate & industry professionals, students from Indian Universities & Colleges under one roof to discuss and debate these important issues. The Conference will include multiple technical sessions and invited talks from ICT experts and practitioners, claimed the media coordinator. The objectives of the Conference are as: Open Education Resources (OERs) and Open Source Software; Open Source Applications; Cloud Computing Platforms and Implications of Cloud Computing & Open Source Applications in Educational Institutions. The FTK-CIT invites research papers from academicians, research scholars and industry corporates.
