A momentous day for new entrants, alumniOT, August 5, 2011 IST Okhla Times Campus Reporter/JMI
For those who were able to make it to the prestigious AJK Mass Communication Research Centre (AJK MCRC), Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI), August 5 is a special day as the university holds the orientation session for new entrants. The most talked about session begins at 9 AM at the AJK MCRC, JMI. According to department officials, the course coordinators of all the courses on offer at MCRC will interact with the students and orient them about the structure of courses and tell them about what to expect in the coming academic session. The second session of the Orientation session that starts from 1.30 PM onwards in Dr. M.A. Ansari Auditorium is slated to be a highly interactive one with the students being formally welcomed by the Director of AJK MCRC, Prof. M. Obaid Siddiqui. Thereafter distinguished alumni of AJK MCRC will be felicitated by the Vice-Chancellor, Najeeb Jung. The citations will also be presented to the distinguished alumni on the occasion. This will be followed by the inaugural address by the Vice Chancellor Najeeb Jung. Thereafter, Saba Dewan, a Documentary Film Maker; Mr. Habib Faisal, Film Director & Screenplay Writer; Neha Dixit, Principal Correspondent, Headlines Today and Kunal Majumdar, Sr. Correspondent, Tehalka will share their experiences with the students.
