MCD polls: JDU MP Ali comes to Okhla to drum up support for Sarwar

JDU Rajya Sabha Member of Parliament Ali Anwar Ansari landed in Okhla’s ward number 102S Abul Fazal Enclave today, according to JDU workers.

They said the MP had come in Okhla to drum up support for Sarwar Iqbal Khan, former Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) student leader, who is JDU candidate from ward number 102S. “It was successful show of strength as lot of people turned up on the spot,” said TM Haque, who is one of the election managers of Sarwar Khan, who is originally from Bihar’s Gaya district.

An MBA graduate, Sarwar has assured residents that if voted to power he would work for the uplift of the locality and make sure that burning issues are addressed.

With the MCD elections just a few days ago to be held on April 23, the locality is witnessing electrifying campaigning with candidates doing making efforts to woo voters.
