NSS Jamia volunteers participate in Pravah’s second phase training workshop

A second phase three-day “Creating Action Projects Workshop” from 10th to 12th February, 2017 was organised by the Non-Governmental Organisation ‘Pravah’ in collaboration with U.N.F.P.A. at U.S.O. House, Qutab Institutional Area, New Delhi in which the volunteers of National Service Scheme, Jamia Millia Islamia participated with the permission granted by N.S.S, a report by Aafreen

Jamia’s Programme Coordinator Prof. N.U. Khan & Programme Officer Dr. Abid Husain, four students namely Alfiya Ansari, Anwar Ali, Ismat Ara & Shubham Pandey took part in the training session. Apart from Jamia, N.S.S. wings of variouscolleges of Delhi University had also participated in the workshop.

In this non-residential weekend training workshop led by ‘Pravah’s’ Rameez Alam, facilitated by Khurshed Farash & Shruti Sharma, volunteers were given training sessions to tackle pain-points in one’s life, team-work coordination, challenges in planning & implementing a programme among the masses, management skills and leadership qualities which these volunteers would assist the members of ‘Pravah’ in their future action projects.

Similarly, the volunteers of N.S.S. Jamia had also joined the same organisation’s previous first phase five-day workshop at Zorba, Sultanpur, New Delhi in the previous month.
