Both are international shooters and have represented India in many International competitions. This is not for the first time that Jamia students have made their mark in sports. Several Jamia students have represented India in hockey and have excelled in other games too. Jamia is known to produce several great hockey players over the years. Of them Danish Mujtaba, Devesh Singh Chauhan, Gagan Ajit Singh and others, to name only a few, are some players who have made it big. Moreover, four Jamia alumni have captained the India team and three have scooped the prestigious Arjuna Award.

Besides hockey, Jamia students have excelled in cricket also. Youth icon Virender Sehwag is a pass out from Jamia. During his recent visit to the campus for the renaming of Sports Complex, cricketer Sehwag talked about his days as a student at Jamia and how the university helped him shape his career.

Jamia has a proud tradition of churning out players who have made India proud.
