Since the inauguration of Okhla Vihar metro police station on Monday by Delhi Police Commission, the talk in the locality is: Will the old police station be shifted to the newly-constructed one?
Surprisingly, one resident without verifying the fact even posted on the social media that very soon the old Jamia Nagar police station is to be shifted to the newly-constructed building, bringing and end to traffic snarl.
When OT.COM tried to find out whether the old police station is to be shifted, it was found no such plan exists right now and what happens in near future is not known.
Reporters said metro has its own police and has nothing to do with the local police station. This only means that the new Okhla Vihar Metro police station is to look after the metro work.
A source said it is to be noticed that the new PS has come under Okhla Vihar Metro station in Abul Fazal Enclave and disagreed on its name.
It is another story that many residents were confused to know that a metro station in Abul Fazal Enclave was named Okhla Vihar. A senior official on the spot on Monday too expressed ignorance when pointed out of the fact that this is not Okhla Vihar as the metro is build in Abul Fazal Enclave.
