Jamia’s examination centre digitised

Office of the Controller of Examinations (CoE), Jamia Millia Islamia, has launched its official website to facilitate easy access to examination related news and information of the university.

The website of CoE was inaugurated by Vice-Chancellor Professor Talat Ahmad who was apprised of its salient features by the Controller of Examination Dr AAA Faizi.

Speaking on the occasion, the VC said it was a very good development that Jamia admissions and examinations were going online.

He said Jamia was constantly taking steps to modernise and to build transparency as far as examinations and admissions were concerned. The website would go a long way in ensuring that.

Professor Ahmad said, “In an age of automation it was all the more necessary that we digitise in a big way. The university has already gone ahead and digitised the mark sheets. These steps will help build a better perception of Jamia.”

Pro-Vice Chancellor Prof Shahid Ashraf and Registrar, AP Siddiqui, Deans and Heads along with faculty members attended the launch and gave valuable suggestions on how best to improve the website and make it student and teacher-friendly.

Prof. Ahmad congratulated Dr Faizi, Dr Ahteshamul Haque (in-charge of Automation) and staff of the Office of the Controller of Examinations for making the automation possible.
