Jamia alumnus Tariq Ballan dies

Jamia Millia Islamia alumnus Tariq Ballan dies of prolong illness, according to his brother Haris ul Haque.

Haris said his brother died today at about 4 pm.

“For years he was not keeing well. He was a heart patients and had suffered paralysis. His body will be taken to Bulandshahar his hometown where he will be buried. He was 50 years old and resided in Abul Fazal Enclave,” said Haris.

He is survived by two children and wife. Ballan, who passed out of Jamia in 1984, was well known among Jamia alumnus.

Haris said his one son completed BTech from Jamia and his daughter is studying in India’s leading social work institute in Mumbai.
