Jamaat-e-Islami (Hind) ‘bars’ local residents from its campus; know the reason.
It was at about 10 pm, a resident was stopped from entering into the Jama’at-e-Islami (Hind) campus. The guard told him that for a few days outsiders are not allowed inside the campus of the religious organization.
The resident was left stumped as JIH’s sprawling campus is always open for outsiders. Moreover, many residents turn up on the campus to walk in the morning and fresh their lungs.
On further enquiry it was found that the gate has been closed due to arrival of members of JIH from across the country.
“From April 2 to 5 the gate will be opened only during prayer times otherwise it will be closed due to the arrival of JIH members from across the country,” read the notice put on the campus.
