Tuesday hardship for schoolchildren, parents

Schoolchildren, who are enrolled in Noida schools, faced hardship today with their bus running late due to road to Kalindi Kunj-Noida being closed. It was in the morning, when a driver of a Noida-based school bust informed parents about road to Noida from Kalindi Kunj being closed.

In the morning the bus went by DND flyover of some schools.

Later on many parents received messages from schools that their children would arrive late due to traffic jam. A father of a boy said usually children reach home by 2:45 PM but today they turned up at 3:45 PM. A driver of the bus said the bus route was diverted and they had to come via DND flyover via Jamia Millia Islamia and hence the delay in reaching bus stops.

The exact reason for the delay is not known. However, in the afternoon too many residents visiting Noida faced hardship as they too complained of the road being closed.

If some said the road was closed due to some work going on many residents said a big dumper was stuck on the road and efforts were on to remove it.

“It was around 11 AM when our bus that was coming from Sambhal was stopped at Noida Sector 37. It was only after other passengers shouted and protested peacefully that the bus was allowed to pass by. It took 2 hours to reach Okhla just from Sector 37 and there was huge traffic jam,” said Yaseer Ali.

Despite the hassle life went on as usual for many residents.
