You must have heard about halal meat and food but not about milk and vegetable. If that is the case then worry not as halal milk has made its debut in Jamia Nagar.
A resident of Okhla Head bought this packet from a nearby shop. It is not know how the business is doing but residents said it is a smart move by the company to launch halalm milk in a Muslim-dominated area to sell their product.
“There is nothing halal and haram in milk and this appears to be a business tactics to make money by exploiting Muslim religious sentiment. Also, this reflects the problem of Muslim society. There is no effort to address other common vices in society. I have seen some shopkeepers in Europe hanging halal and haram banner on shops selling vegetables and fish,” said Islamic scholar Waris Mazhari.
Social media user wrote: “Halal milk, what is this? Soon we will have halal khajoor, halal chawal , halal paani , halal plate …”
Another user wrote: “It is good but the quality of milk should be best to beat other company. Then the other person can also introduce such other things. But the matter is only the quality and credibility and of course the milk with lower price than other brand so that poor can also afford.”
The price of half liter of packet is the same that of Mother Dairy.
