Aligarh Muslim University scholar and PhD student, Hadiya Husain with the Department of Zoology won second prize in the Poster Competition during the International Conference on ‘Emerging Trends in Biomedical Sciences’ held at the Department of Biochemistry.
Earlier in February, Ms Husain won the first prize for Oral Presentation in a National Conference held at Govt P G College, Rampur.
Her work addresses the disposition of oxidative stress related damages and disrupted liver architecture in chemically-induced liver fibrosis model and its abrogation and amelioration by the application of a naturally occurring polyphenolic compound.
She is pursuing PhD under Dr Riaz Ahmad in the Section of Genetics of the Department of Zoology.
