Zakir Nagar youth’s 4th Guinness World Record amazing journey (video)

Getting your name registered in Guinness World Record is no cakewalk. It is only extraordinarily talented people who make into Guinness World Record. Zakir Nagar-based Md Faisal’s story of making into Guinness World Record for the fourth time is one of hard work, determination and perseverance.

Basically from Samhbhal in Uttar Pradesh, but living in Okhla for the last 10 years, Faisal, 31, is also known as memory man who has over the years mastered the art of memorizing difficult things, leaving his audience impressed. Did he achieve his goal in a year? Not so as it all goes back to 1994 when Faisal was only 9 years old and studying in modern public school, Moradabad in 3 rd grade.

“I still remember that day when, while playing in my class I had a glimpse of late Shakuntladevi’s photograph on my mathematics book. It is a well-known fact that this famous personality was a maths wizard and her name is registered in Guinness Book of World Records. While glancing at her photograph, I visualised in my mind to get my name registered in the reputed Guinness Book of World Records,” said Faisal.

And it in since then that Faisal started concentrating on how to get closer to his goals. After completing his class XII from Sambhal in 2003, Faisal went to Aligarh Muslim University for pursuing diploma in Electronics Engineering.

“I was just like an average learner without any special learning or memorizing qualities. During summer vacations, I returned back to Sambhal to spend time with my family. At that period of time, a national memory record holder was conducting a seminar in Moradabad on the topic “How to Improve Your Memory”. It was a paid seminar and I paid 20 bucks to attend it as I was extremely curious to learn these skills. I became friends with many during the seminar which started around 2.20 PM,” he said.

That gave him his first break and determination how to chase his dream. After enhancing his skills he started conducting seminars, workshops and attempting records. While doing so, he also completed his Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics and Communication from Jamia Millia Islamia.

“These days, I am busy in conducting seminars and workshops on Memory Power, Speed Maths, Parenting, Brain Power and Vocabulary. Also, I am preparing to make and break some more world records in the field of memory,” he said.
