BJP MP Maheish Girri met Rail Minister Suresh Prabhu today to discuss three very critical issues pertaining to East Delhi constituency.
The first dealt with road congestion at Vikas Marg. Girri suggested that a road along the railway line running from Anand Vihar Terminal be constructed to Pragati Maidan as an alternative to Vikas Marg.
It can be constructed from on the vacant railway land.
It could either be constructed by the Indian Railways itself or in a PPP model, Girri said.
The other issue dealt with severe traffic congestion at Mandawli underpass.
He therefore requested for expansion of the underpasses between Preet Vihar & Mandavali. Lastly, he sought his attention on an issue related to the requirement of an underpass in Ajeet Nagar of Seelampur.
If the expansion was not feasible, new underpasses could be constructed.
