An Okhla-based hijab wearing girl was shocked to receive message in her inbox from a stranger when she opened it after months.
“My cousin got cyber bullied by an unknown person who called her a terrorist for no reason,” said a girl on the condition of anonymity.
She said: “I mean. This is from 2015 but she never checked the message she got from unknown people but now when she opened the messages she saw this old message from 2015.”
The post goes back to the year when former president of India Dr Avul Pakir Jainulabdeen Abdul Kalam had died. Then the girl had shared Kalam’s photo on her timeline.
To which then a Mahrashtra-based man from another community wrote: “Remove Kalam’s picture as you don’t deserve it. You are a terrorist and Kalam was a patriotic.”
It could not be known whether the man’s ID was genuine or fake. Of late it has been noticed that many people give adversarial remarks on the social media from fake accounts.
Moreover, after getting the message the girl shared it on her timeline getting some comments.
However, the girl later on removed the post.
In the virtual world, online trolling has picked up with strangers targeting others.
