8-year-old girl ‘kidnapped’ in Zakir Nagar; rescued. Eight-year-old girl was ‘kidnapped’ in Zakir Nagar but rescued by vigilant residents.

According to AIMIM president Okhla Ward Afzal Khan Afridi, the small girl was kidnapped from the locality in the evening on Wednesday. “After coming to know about this incident many people came out looking for the missing girl. Some people saw the girl sitting with a strange person in Ashoka Park. When residents confronted the man he fled from the spot. Residents took the girl to her home. Later on the girl narrated the whole story and a police complaint was filed,” Khan told OKHLATIMES.

He said his team was the first to visit the spot and interact with family members. Also, he shared a few photos with the portal where he mentioned that efforts made by the AIMIM team yielded positive results. As the details are sketchy, the whole is yet to be ascertained.

Also, he share photo of the girl and a video clip. But OKHLATIMES decided not to carry it as the girl is a minor. The incident reminded people of incident years ago in Dhobi Ghat when a mall girl sleeping in her parent’s jhuggi was kidnapped and then murdered. Next morning the body was found dumped in Yamuna with several marks.
