Ghaffar Manzil got infrastructural boost on Sunday with coucillor Nitu Singh Choudhary’s husband Manish Choudhary inaugurating an event for erecting poles and street lights at 10 am.

Some local residents too had turned up at the park where the event was held.

A poster regarding the event was seen hanging at the entrance of the colony that is close by Jamia Millia Islamia and has its own rich history. Syed Junaid mentioned about the event on his timeline and even shared a few photos.

Like other parts of Jamia Nagar, Ghaffar Manzil lacks in basic infrastructure facilities with residents from time to time lamenting about garbage being dumped on roadside at its entry.

Despite the latest move, many residents lamented that there are several issues in Ghaffar Manzil that needs immediate attention, like garbage and construction material dumping in the open, cleaning of old dempos and other issues. A resident said besides the issue of waste-to-energy plant located nearby by residential area is also a cause of concern for many residents.
