Fleet of 250 new water tankers flagged off

Fleet of 250 new water tankers flagged off: Delhi Jal Board Chairman Kapil Mishra on Friday flagged-off a new fleet of 250 stainless steel water tankers from the Delhi Secretariat.

The new fleet will ease the availability of water across Delhi. At present the DJB is operating 407 Stainless Steel Tankers and 385 Mild Steel Tankers to supply water in the water deficit areas of Delhi.

Under the new fleet that has been purchased and fabricated, 58 no. of 9 kiloliters tankers and 192 no. of 4 kiloliters tankers are there. The new departmental tankers are BS IV standard and fitted with stainless steel body.
The new tankers would come as an arm in the shot for the Delhi Jal Board (DJB) during the summers.
