Jamia Nagar-based India International Education Foundation (IIEF) is organizing an Education Expo 2012 at hotel Surya, New Friends’ Colony, on May 13 that is Sunday at about 11 AM.
IIEF director Malik Ghufran Rumi said the event is going to be a huge hit with some 10 colleges from Delhi NCR going to participate. “Two banks, KV and IndusInd bank, are also part of the event.” Community portal OKHLA TIMES is media partner.
More than 130 students have confirmed their participation, claimed IIEF director.
Professor Attam Parkash (Indian Institute of Foreign Trade) and currently trade advisor to five countries will brace the occasion. Ameet Kumar Assistant director (FICCI) and Delhi minority commission member Pushpender Singh will also be the guest.
Rumi said IIEF will offer free career counseling to students. Besides, colleges will also announce scholarships to students who take admission in different courses.
“This is an opportunity for students of this locality to know about the courses being offered by several colleges of Delhi. Also, they will be exposed to many new courses that some colleges will showcase at the event.”
On this occasion, IIEF will be announcing short term courses like Certificate in Interview Skills; Certificate in Personality Development; Certificate in Resume Writing and Entrepreneurship Skills.
OKHLA TIMES will also give presentation to the students about community journalism course that the portal has been running for the last one year. “The course lays emphasis on practical journalism than theory. Students will not only learn how to edit and file reports but they will also be taught how to produce online content in Newsroom environment,” said Ganapathy Reddy, a London-based journalist, a visting faculty at Okhla Times School of Journalism.
