Farzana down with dengue, critical.
Dengue continues to worry residents across Delhi. In Okhla the situation is bad as several cases have been reported from the deprive locality lacking in basic amenities with piled-up garbage on roadsides, broken road and waterlogged roads.
Maqsood Alam, a Shaheen Bagh resident, told OKHLATIMES that the situation in the locality is really pathetic with basic amenities missing. “For the last five days Farzana aged 36 years is admitted in a hospital in Noida. Her platelet has decreased a lot and she is still in ICU preventive. Dengue has spread its tentacles in Shaheen Bagh. She is wife of Jahangir Khan residing at F 136,” he said.
Farzana is not the only resident who is down with dengue. Several residents are battling the disease. Former Congress MLA Asif Md Khan told OKHLATIMES that his nephew too is hospitalized in Apollo for the last few days and his condition is being monitored as despite platelet being given the body is not accepting.
On Monday two residents had died of dengue in the locality. Earlier, three more deaths have been reported. Doctors said the number of deaths could be more as many cases are not reported. Besides dengue, several residents are down with chikangunya and mysterious fever in the locality and other parts of Delhi.
And as the residents continue to suffer, politicians and political parties are busy in blame game doing little to address the ground reality by improving sanitation in the locality, said residents.
