Ex-Okhla MLA Asif Md Khan bereaved; MLA Amanatullah visits village

Former Okhla MLA Asif Md Khan, a Congress man, has lost his father Ashfaq Mohammad Khan, a freedom fighter.

The MLA said his father was hospitalised for the last one month in National Heart Institute undergoing treatment. “He died today after prolong illness and was 93-year-old,” Khan told OKHLATIMES.COM from Bulandshahr, his hometown.

The body was taken to Barwala village which comes under Barabasti for the final journey.

He was laid to rest there, said Pervez Alam Khan, who is also in the village.

It is understood that several people from Okhla are in the village and were part of the funeral.

Okhla AAP MLA Amanatullah Khan also visited the village.

The freedom fighter is survived by three sons, including Arif Md Khan, Asif Md Khan and three daughters.

  1. The village name is Barwala which comes under barabasti, I hope you’ll make the correction.
