Ex-AAP leader Irfanullah joins Owaisi’s AIMIM

Irfanullah Khan needs no introduction for Okhla resident. A resident of Zakir Nagar, he is a known face of the locality. He became a household name when he stood on AAP ticket from Okhla constituency in an Assembly election and got second position at a time when Muslims had shown their loyalty with the Congress voting Asif Md Khan to power.

It is another story with AAP stock rising and new leaders joining in, Khan got sidelined and lost in the ticket race, said sources, adding that disillusioned, he left the party.

For months little was known about him until reports have surfaced that he has joined Asaduddin Owaisi’s AIMIM.

According to AIMIM office bearer, Khan has also been made president Delhi unit. “Announcement regarding this was made last night in Hyderabad. I am waiting for the letter. And I have been made Delhi unit AIMIM president,” Khan, former member Delhi Election campaign group AAP, told OKHLATIMES.

Former president and honorary secretary AM students’ union and former National Secretary & Spokesman Janta Dal, Khan is popular among the AMU fraternity in Delhi and across the country.

AIMIM is forming team in civic-poll bound Delhi that is expected to go for elections in months’ time.

    It’s a respected move as he was backstabbed by Kejriwal n team when he raised voice for proportional number of seats with respect to Muslim population. It’s a open secret the Gandhi Ji on paper has immense power n ability to make black white n vice versa , resulting a white character turned black n a black character turned white overnight…. that’s the irony of democracy.
