It was on Monday when the results were announced with delay as a notice regarding this was issued by the university earlier.

And in less than 24 hours after the results were announced, another notice carrying signature of Professor Mehtab Alam, Dean Faculty of Engineering and Technology, surfaced.

“The list of provisionally selected candidates for Diploma Engineering admission 2017-18 is withdrawn due to technical reasons. The revised list shall be declared shortly,” it stated.

“The list of provisionally selected candidates for BTech admission 2017-18 is withdrawn due to technical reasons. The revised list shall be declared shortly.”

Earlier, the university had issued this notice: “It is hereby informed to all aspiring candidates for admission to BTech programmes that due to unavoidable circumstances, the list of selected/waitlist candidates could not be declared by 30.06.2017. However, the same will be declared by 3.7.2017. Inconvenience caused is regretted.”

Several attempts were made to contact Professor Mehtab but he didn’t pick up the phone.

On the other hand, Office of the Controller of Examinations (CoE) of Jamia has declared the regular exam result of BTech Final semester (All branches) in record time. The final examination was held on June 8 and the result was declared on June 22, 2017.

The Vice-Chancellor Professor Talat Ahmad has expressed his happiness over the timely declaration of results and is committed to make examination system more transparent, claimed the university release.
