Editor of a Muslim portal claims he got threat SMS to shut up

Okhla-based editor of a Muslim portal has claimed that he received threat call from an unknown number asking him to shut up.

This is what Danish Ahmad Khan wrote on his timeline: “…I received a missed call right now from a Mobile no… with the location being of Maharashtra. Immediately after a few seconds I also received a message… which threatens Muslims of beating like dogs by Hindus just in the manner they have been beaten earlier. Since I am a journalist running a Muslim news portal and my mobile number is public on my website as well as Facebook profile, I therefore have been sent a message to shut up.

“This is how journalists and Muslims are being threatened of dire consequences by Hindutva goons and mischief mongers. Will Muslims be continued to be threatened like this under the Narendra Modi regime? Will the law enforcing agencies and cyber crime cell look into the threatening message, particularly to a journalist during midnight…”

I am also attaching the screenshot of message as well, said Khan, who is Founder-Editor, Indian Muslim Observer, adding that he has filed a complaint against the man in the local police station.

Also, he said that he would be reaching the cyber cell to file a complaint.
