The fact of the matter is very little has changed on the ground. As you drive towards Kalindi Kunj in Okhla from Abul Fazal Enclave you will find dog carcass just a few meters from the councilor office. Moreover, the putrid is such that residents have been found moving with their nose closed but nobody appears to be really concerned as life goes in the normal mode.
Worse, in front of the carcass is located several shops who earn enough money, claimed residents, adding that nobody is concerned. “The situation is really bad in the locality. There are several NGOs here and everybody make tall claim but nobody among them is ready to ground work.
“This not something unusual for Okhla, a deprived locality as a few months ago another carcass was seen lying in AFE. Nobody picked it up as it got vanished in the mud after lying there for days with residents going about as usual as if nothing has happened just blaming the authorities and representatives,” said Shehzad Khan.
