I have been detained by police: Okhla-based leader Pervez Khan

I have been arrested by the Delhi Police for protesting against Tariq Fatah. Currently, I am in Parliament Street Police Station.

He said he had gone to attend Jashn-e-Rekhta, Urdu event in Delhi, and started protesting by raising slogans against Tariq Fatah whose programme on Zee TV has deeply upset several Muslims.

OT.COM independently could not authenticate the event as officials’ could not be reached for their comments.

Pervez Alam Khan is a resident of Okhla and is planning to contest local elections from the locality. He is known to be close to Sandeep Dikshit, formerly MP. Also, Pervez, who before taking plunge into fulltime politics, worked as a cameraman with several leading Indian channels.
