The opening of the second e-Sub Registrar Office of Delhi at Rohini today signifies a quantum leap forward by the Revenue Department of the Government Delhi in its series of reforms to make the public experience of registration and stamping completely modernized and user-friendly.

The Revenue Department intends to overhaul the conventional registration process with the inauguration of the state of the art e-Sub Registrar Office at Rohini by Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit. The first such office was inaugurated at Mehrauli by the CM on July 2.

The task of constructing the building of the e-Sub Registrar Office at a sanctioned cost of Rs. 3 Cr. was entrusted to the Delhi Tourism and Transportation Development Corporation (DTTDC), who have completed the work in only two and a half months.

To put an end to huge crowds, serpentine queues and lack of basic infrastructure like proper seating, drinking water and toilet facilities, the new system envisages a process in which each applicant arrives at the e-Sub Registrar Office with a pre-fixed appointment.

The appointment can be taken online by accessing the website of the Revenue Department.

On reaching the e-Sub Registrar Office, the applicants will have access to the best infrastructure and amenities, which also figures in the special needs of the differently abled.

More significantly, the entire process of registration has been re-engineered, making it hassle free.

The registered documents will be delivered to them the very same day at the e-Sub Registrar Office and in case their documents are rejected or impounded, they will be informed in writing on the same day.

The Revenue Department intends to completely eliminate the menace of touts and middlemen by making the entire registration process transparent and accessible.

Facilitation Counters at the e-Sub Registrar Office will help the applicants at every step of registration.

All details regarding the registration process including downloadable pdf formats of all deeds and stamp duty calculator are available on the Department's website. The e-Sub Registrar Office at Rohini will cater to Rohini subdivision and parts of Kanjhawala subdivision.

The same model will soon be replicated at Geeta Colony, Nandnagari, Janakpuri, Narela and Kapashera by December 2012.

Union Minister Krishna Tirath, Delhi Revenue Minister Arvinder Singh,MLA,  Kulwant Rana, Chief Secretary-P K Tripathi and Divisional Commissioner Dharam Pal alongwith other senior officers were present on this occasion.
