Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit congratulated NSUI jubilant candidates for their clean sweeping victory in the Delhi University Students Union (DUSU) election.

All winning candidates on Saturday met Dikshit at her residence. Parliamentary Secretary to the Chief Minister, Spokesperson, CLP and Senior Legislature Mukesh Sharma was also present on the occasion.

The Chief Minister said this landslide victory of all seats establishes beyond doubt that the Congress Party and its ideology are dear to the youth of the Capital as well as the country.

This victory reiterates the people’s belief and faith in the Congress Party led by Sonia Gandhi, Dikshit stressed.

The win has come after hard work put in by Congress workers at university and in other localities, including Okhla. Congress leaders campaigned in colonies to convince students to vote for NSUI candidates.

Two days ago a programme was organized by Mohd Faraz Khan, president Okhla Vidhansabha IYC in Batla House. Oscar Fernandes, Indian Youth Congress in-charge Delhi Anil Dhantodi MLA Haryana, Amit Malik president IYC Delhi and Shoeb Danish councillor ward no. 205 had addressed many local students of Delhi University.
