Death of beloved teacher mourned on WhatsApp

J Thomas was a teacher at St Michael’s High School in Patna and he died today. The news of his death was shared on WhatsApp by Vijay.

IMG-20170316-WA0051“Dear Friends it is with regret that I inform you that Mr J Thomas passed away a few minutes back. He had a massive heart attack earlier in the day,” he wrote.

The post solicited several comments from Mr Thomas’ students on the WhatsApp group.

Ebrahim wrote: “Sorry to here! RIP sir.”

Sajiv Madan wrote: “Oh very sad news. RIP Sir. Your guidance and your teachings made us what we are today. Our deepest condolences to jojo and his family.”

Mohammad Yusuf Hussain wrote: “My heartfelt condolences to Dear Jojo and family … may almighty help them overcome this grief at the earliest.”

Shuprotik Mukherjee wrote: “My last memory of meeting Mr Thomas during my visit to India this year in January.”

Shamshad wrote: “My deepest condolences to Jojo and his family.

“I had never shared this with anyone. .but he is the person who had turned around my life….

“I had never ever studied (except a day b4 exams) till 9th std… was always on border line….

“In 9th mid-term I had scored 38 marks in Chemistry and went up to him requesting 2 grace marks to pass.

“He gave it to me but told me that my parents have worked very hard to pay the school fees…

“That was the turning point of my life… as u know many students failed in 9th grade but I comfortably passed…and in 10th std first term i had 75/80 in Chemistry.

“I was called in his office… was so scared but he was sitting and smiling and told me that he had gone through all my other papers and said “well done”… I was a different student now…

“May his soul rest in peace. Amen.”
