Shaheen Bagh resident dies on Eid-al Adha after suffering cardiac arrest

Another death of a resident has been reported from Jamia Nagar on Eid-al Adha. A resident said Md Khalid, 60, died of heart attack. A resident of Bihar’s Shekpura, he was staying in Shaheen Bagh with his son and was laid to rest in Abul Fazal Enclave graveyard after Zuhar prayer today.

“His wife is undergoing treatment at AIIMS. Late Khalid’s another son had died of cancer six months ago. We were told that he died after suffering cardiac arrest and was fine yesterday,” said Sharib, a resident, who was at the graveyard with other residents, including a teacher of Jamia Millia Islamia.

The death has come a day after report had surfaced of an elderly woman dying in Abul Fazal Enclave on first day of Eid-al Adha.

After her condition had deteriorated, family members and neighbours had rushed her to Holy Family Hospital but she died on the way, according to local residents.

A day earlier, another death was reported of a man in Abul Fazal Enclave. Nasimur Rahman, who knew the family well, told OT.COM that Riaz in his fifties died after suffering massive heart attack.

Riaz, who was from Bihar, was a driver. Also, he used to driver auto in the locality and was always seen at Okhla Head, said another resident.
