Comrade Kanhaiya Kumar is coming to Jamia Nagar tomorrow to address a march. It is understood that a former president of Jawaharlal Nehru University Students’ Union and also a leader of the All India Students Federation, the student wing of the Communist Party of India, is to visit Shaheen Bagh at 6 PM.
Parvez Alam Khan said: “On September 7 at 6 PM, Kanhaiya is to come to Shaheen Bagh Police Chowk to take part in a massive march. He is to be the chief speaker of the event.”
This is not for the first time that student leader Kanhaiya is coming to Jamia Nagar. A few months ago, he had visited Batla House at Khalilullah Mosque where he had addressed a huge gathering. Looking at his popularity, it is expected that this time around lots of youngsters might gather at the venue.
Last time during his visit, heavy security arrangements were made in the locality. Several local leaders, including Left-leaning leaders, had addressed the gathering with Kanhaiya. An Uttar Pradesh-based poet too had turned up.
Wasi Imam, who had covered the previous event in Batla House, said looking at his local popularity his arrival is certainly going to attract a large number of people.
